“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” Full Trailer!!

Posted by TymeHunter on December 3, 2015

Yes, yes, and double yes!! Finally! At last, I am finally excited for this movie! The previous trailer was kind of eh, but this one…holy crap! It had everything we wanted and so much more! Batman, Superman, Lex Luthor, Doomsday…and did I see Wonder Woman?! Yes, yes I did!

“Gotham” Assembles Its Own Suicide Squad

Posted by TymeHunter on September 7, 2015

The latest promo clip for the upcoming second season of Gotham showcases something a bit different. Or maybe it’s not all that different, I’m just perplexed by what’s going on. Clearly the show has decided to hell with the movies; if Gotham wants its own Suicide Squad, then by golly, Gotham¬†is going to get its own Suicide Squad. With every episode and every clip released, Gotham becomes¬†kookier by the minute. Obviously the show doesn’t take itself seriously, and, hopefully, doesn’t expect the audience to¬†either. At this point, it’s all like a Jackson Pollock painting, but with no clear indication about what’s going on, or what will lead to what. Though on some level, I’m okay with that.

“Arrow” Season 4 Trailer!

Posted by TymeHunter on September 7, 2015

Here at last! Or rather, it was out¬†there¬†several days ago, but now it’s here. Moving on, the season four Arrow trailer is loaded with anything and everything you could hope for. From the return of John Constantine (maybe Arrow will help the character get his show back) to new villains and heroes! All in all, I like to think we’re in for an exciting ride! So far, all signs are promising this’ll be an epic season, but after the mediocre second half of season three, I still have a reservation or two. Arrow starts up again October 7!

CW Teases Jay Garrick’s Arrival on “The Flash”!

Posted by TymeHunter on September 2, 2015

TheFlash2teaser

The CW released a teaser image several days ago for the upcoming second The Flash season. This further cemented the point that the Golden Age fan-favorite Flash, Jay Garrick, played by Teddy Sears, would definitely be appearing on the show. We just have to wait a little over a month, until more Flash-related goodness appears on the telly!

Talking “Constantine: The Hellblazer” With Ming Doyle!

Posted by TymeHunter on August 6, 2015

cth1

I went to Boston Comic Con last weekend and while there, I was lucky enough to get to talk to artist/writer Ming Doyle. She and James Tynion IV are writing a little DC book: Constantine: The Hellblazer. While only two issues in, already I’m hooked on the series! The comic¬†has some great writing and artwork and really deserves to be read. If you’re a fan of the character, having enjoyed either the original Hellblazer books, the TV show, or a mixture of anything and everything John Constantine has appeared in, pick up Constantine: The Hellblazer! You can read my interview with the lovely Ming Doyle over at¬†Bleeding Cool!

“Gotham” Season 2 Teaser Trailer

Posted by TymeHunter on July 23, 2015

The villains are here to stay! Kind of like Gotham. Love it or hate it, the superhero show that isn’t really a superhero show is moving on to its second season. The teaser trailer above is just that, a teaser. With a bunch of villains running about and Jim¬†Gordon and the rest of the GCPD failing to catch them for about the next 20 years until Batman shows up, you have to wonder why Gotham’s citizens continue paying taxes. One of the trailers highlights? The return of Cameron Monaghan as Jerome a.k.a. (maybe) The Joker?! Only time will tell.

The Flash Gets A New Outfit In Season 2!

That said, the changes aren’t huge. The most notable alteration is the logo on his chest.¬†Now with a white background, like the comics, as opposed to the red background of Season 1, it’s good to see all the pieces coming together. With characters like Jay Garrick and Atom Smasher scheduled to make appearances in the second season, the DC TV universe is expanding in all the ways we hoped it would!

“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” Trailer!

Posted by TymeHunter on May 14, 2015

Wowza! Aside from the show’s title being a bit¬†long, I have absolutely zero¬†problems with the trailer. As opposed to the Supergirl trailer yesterday, which seemed eerily reminiscent of SNL’s Black Widow parody, everything in Legends of Tomorrow works! I can see DC slowly paving the way for a Justice Society or Justice League. We’re getting there. These sorts of things take time, especially if you want to execute them right, but by golly, I can’t help but get excited!

I’ll say this, when it comes to television, DC has got it made. They found the secret formula and are sticking to it! Can we also please take a moment to acknowledge how Arthur Darvill is Rip Hunter, a time traveller from the future?! I’m over the moon that they brought in Mr. Darvill, and in a time-travelling capacity no less!

“Supergirl” Trailer

Posted by TymeHunter on May 13, 2015

And my general reaction? Eh. I don’t know, I’m just not especially impressed with the trailer. It looks a little too much like The Devil Wears Prada, but with super¬†powers. Maybe I’m the wrong demographic for Supergirl, which I’m totally okay with. I’m all for giving young girls a superhero TV show of their own.

That said, the entire trailer is probably made up from the first episode, so it’s anyone’s guess how it’ll actually go once we’re a season in. At this point though? Wake me up when there’s a Arrow/TheFlash/Supergirl crossover. Now THAT is something I’d like to see, and maybe it’ll happen. But you know what we WILL get? Superman! At some point he’ll show up and I can get excited for that! Just get Superman, The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, Firestorm, and whoever else these television networks feel like introducing, and boom! TV Justice League right there! Let’s make it happen!

Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman Get Makeovers!

Posted by TymeHunter on March 13, 2015

BMSM_Cv21_R1

With DC’s Convergence nearly upon us, news about the status quo for DC Comics’s favorite superheroes has been released. At least with regards to the new uniforms they’ll be donning. As you can see in the¬†images here, Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman are all getting redesigned. But are their costumes better or worse for it? Personally, I’m not a fan of bunny-ears-mecha- Batman and Superman looks like he’s not even trying anymore. He also appears…angry, what with blood-soaked hands and all. Maybe Supes is going through a grunge phase or something.

As for Wonder Woman? She’s the most tolerable of the bunch, at least in my opinion, but those boots? What are with those boots? And the wrist spikes? Will she be impaling folks now? Is that going to be a thing in the Wonder Woman books? I’m sure everything will be explained, but for the meantime, I think it’s fair that we gripe and complain until we get answers!
