What happens when you combine everything you love about the ‘80s i.e. punk rock, groovy hair, and vintage tech, with a school dedicated to training young assassins of the world’s top crime families? You enter the world of writer Rick Remender’s Deadly Class. An absolutely stunner of a comic, the series is a fan-favorite from Image Comics and for good reason.
The trailer debuted at San Diego Comic Con several days ago, but it didn’t hit the net until a day or two after the fact. That brings us to here and now. I did attend the Deadly Class panel at SDCC and we did get to watch the first 10 minutes or so of the new SyFy show and holy hell, this is going to be one of those shows you either love or hate. It’s either for you or it isn’t; it was totally, and unabashedly, for me.
Under the brilliant guidance of Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors responsible for such hits like Avengers: Infinity War, the two men clearly know what they’re doing.
Starring Benedict Wong, Benjamin Wadsworth, and multiple others, Deadly Class is set to debut on SyFy sometime in 2019.
