By we, I of course mean me. Looking back, it’s been quite a while since I last posted much of anything, but I figured now was as good a time as any to get back on the proverbial horse, letting the world know all my random and spastic thoughts.
In retrospect, one of the first topics I wrote about concerned superheroes. At least i think it was; I’m too lazy to go back and check. Be that as it may, it seems only fitting that this blog continues in a similar vain, highlighting all things I deem worthy of highlighting. While moves like The Avengers and billion others have come out, they were all released months or years ago, and thereby cannot be reviewed at the moment, leaving us with the here and now. What is the “now” you ask? Well today was a very good day when it came to all things super heroic. So with this brief introduction, let’s get to the good stuff.
1. Batman: Arkham Knight. Unless you either a) don’t care about video games or b) didn’t have access to the internet all day, which then begs the question about how you’re reading this, you probably know that the trailer for the brand spankin’ new RockSteady Batman game was released. This is the moment everyone has been waiting for. While many were seemingly disappointed with the last Batman game, Rocksteady has succeeded in whetting every gamer’s appetite in anticipate for this masterpiece. Without further ado, let’s take a peek at the trailer.
So yes, it’s an understatement when I say I am quite excited about this game! The “final” installment of the series, and with Batman being voiced by Kevin Conroy, what’s not to love?
2. Arrow: Full Circle Extended Trailer
Arrow is a magnificent show, and if you’re not watching it, you should be. By far one of the greatest superhero shows of all time, tomorrow’s episode will be a game changer. Featuring Deathstroke, Green Arrow, Black Canary, and others, this is a show for anyone with even the tiniest interest in superheroes and DC Comics. Check out the trailer below.
It’s going to be awesome. That is all I can say on the subject. Watch it, or don’t, though I can’t be responsible for any unhappiness you may experience as a result of not watching Arrow.
3. Transformers: Age of Extinction
Somewhat lost in all the hullaballoo between Batman and Arrow, was the trailer for the upcoming Transformers movie. Truth be told, whenever the franchise releases a new trailer, I always get excited, but end up being disappointed by the end result. This time around, I’m keeping my expectations to a minimal as we’re essentially presented with Mark Wahlberg vs. Transformers. Still, I’m a sucker for giant robots beating the hell out of each other, especially when said giant robots include Optimus Prime and a giant mech hound.
And there you have it, the three biggest pop culture/fanboy moments of the day. At least by my standards. Anyway, if I was a betting man, and the few times I’ve frequented casinos would affirm that I am, there will be more posts from yours truly in the coming future. Until then, thanks for being patient, but I’m back. Let the good times
