Actor Josh Hutcherson got a pretty big name for himself after being considered for the part of Peter Parker/Spider-Man and co-starring in The Kids Are All Right. Now he’s teaming up with Dane Cook to co-star in a horror-comedy movie called Detention. The film’s plot revolves around a group of teens who find themselves having to survive their last year of high school. What are they surviving against you ask? Well, apparently a slasher-killer-esque character who has popped up from out of the blue. So there you have it, the plot sounds rather contrived by now, what with Scream 4 right around the corner. Also, according to Variety, Hutcherson will be executively producing the movie, which is kinda cool in its own right I guess. What I’m really curious about though, is to what capacity Dane Cook’s role will be. I can see him as a random jerk of a teacher who gets killed off indiscriminately, or he could survive the whole thing and laugh in everyone’s faces…only time will tell.
