This week in Incredible Hulk #610 a lot happened. Yes, I know that’s an oversimplification of the events that took place, but deal with it. If you’ve been paying attention to the Hulk story line then you know what’s happening, for those who don’t, let me catch you up to speed. One the Hulk’s oldest enemies, the Leader, has captured the Marvel Universe’s smartest heroes, along with Doctor Doom, using their brains to (somehow) bring on a world of hurt to everyone else. The Leader hulked out all the other heroes, leaving Bruce Banner with just a few friends to bring an end to the dastardly plot. Absorbing a humongous amount of energy to keep everything from detonating and Leonard Samson sacrificing himself to assist Bruce, the energy transfer finally brought back everyone’s favorite jolly green giant.
Now that the Hulk has finally been brought back, this leaves for the final confrontation between Skarr (his son) and the Hulk to commence. Bruce Banner had actually been training his son to kill the Hulk, pitting him against foes such as the Juggernaut and Wolverine’s son, Daken. Now the stage has been set and these two powerhouses are about to go at it, with one hell bent on killing the other. It’s only just occurred to me, that with it being Father’s Day weekend, what comic could be more fitting than The Incredible Hulk #610, in where a son wants nothing more than to kill his dear old pop.
