Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner appears not to be going anywhere anytime in the near future. The kid has been picking up offers for all sorts of movies, mainly action flicks, and by the looks of things, this wave of Lautner is unending.

Granted, though I speak somewhat sarcastically about him, it’s probably because the only form of media anyone has probably ever seen him in is Twilight and now Valentine’s Day. Oh, and for what it’s worth, let me point out that Lautner WILL be in the next Twilight movie…now you all have something to look forward to.

Anyway, the studios of Dreamworks recently announced that they were having Lautner star in a Bourne-ish action movie called Abduction. The story is about a young man, Lautner, who gets abducted (surprise). Not by aliens, but regular folk only to find out that his ‘parents’ aren’t really his parents but instead people who abducted him when he was a wee child. Now he’s gotta flee. As plots go, there have been worse, and I suppose this could be…good.

Stretch Armstrong, a character from my generation, back when I was a small kid, is being made into a movie, and guess who’s starring? Yup, Lautner once again. And yet perhaps one of the most distressing things I’ve heard in regards to anything Taylor Lautner related is the mere possibility that he’s going to be in a sequel to Top Gun! While only a rumor, as of yet, the chance of this happening is very real, and Mr. Tom Cruise would be joining Lautner for the ride. Oh the shame!

Slowly, but ever so surely, Taylor Lautner is creeping into Hollywood, oozing his way into every medium that opens its doors. Let’s hope that this all turns out for the best, or else fall to the tragic fate of being stampeded by waves of teenage girls upon trying to peacefully enter your local movie theater.
